Nothing at all! Couldn't fault our stay.

Comfortable beds, good facilities, and a cozy countryside feel. The lodge provided a warm and comfortable stay, with spacious rooms and a lovely view of the valley. It was dog-friendly and had sufficient space and equipment for self-catering. The location was ideal for exploring the southern area of the Peak District. Despite a few minor drawbacks such as limited breakfast options and a lack of reception, the staff were friendly and helpful. I would recommend this hotel for a pleasant stay.

The location of the hotel is ideal for exploring the town and nearby attractions. It is just a short walk away from the town center and close to the Monsal Trail, perfect for a leisurely cycle ride. The Michael Palin apartment is well-equipped with everything you might need, including a small kitchenette with cutlery, plates, bowls, and a fridge. The bed in the apartment is also very comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep.
The parking situation at the hotel can be a bit cramped, especially when the car park is full.

The hotel is in a great location, with easy access to nearby attractions. It's just a short walk to the town center, where you can find plenty of options for dining out. the rooms are spacious and bright, with well-appointed bathrooms that have separate baths and showers. the beds and bedding are comfy, ensuring a good night's sleep. Plus, the hotel offers a kitchenette with everything you need for a short stay.
The TV reception in the rooms was not very good, and I couldn't get any BBC channels. But who goes on holiday to watch TV anyway, right?
